About
Stacy Totten...
Meadow Run
Boarding & Training proprietor Stacy Totten combines a unique and successful training philosophy with
a life-long love of animals. While growing up in Dayton, Stacy
gathered valuable knowledge and experience by participating in
a variety of animal-related activities such as the Dayton Museum
of Natural History’s “Raise and Release” program
for wild animals.
She combined
her love of horses and dogs by acting as "Kennel Maid”
for the Miami Valley Hunt where her responsibilities included
the care, breeding and training of 40 English foxhounds. During
this same period she also managed the boarding facilities of Dayton’s
Old Stage Kennel and worked as a veterinary assistant at Miami
Valley Animal Hospital.

After
graduating from Ohio University in 1984, Stacy began a career
in veterinary pharmaceutical sales, a position which included
introducing new drugs and procedures to veterinarians in the Northern
Ohio area.
She has trained
her own dogs to “Utility” level in AKC obedience events
and has received both AKC and Labrador Club hunt degrees. In 1993,
her chocolate lab, “Alex,” ranked 54th nationally among
Labs competing in obedience. Stacy
is currently training her coonhound, Roy, in agility and search
and rescue.
